International Rotations

International rotations are administered through the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine Office of International Programs. OU-COM offers a number of international programs to promote multicultural awareness and to involve students, faculty and staff in research, education and outreach activities abroad.

The programs are designed with the following goals:

to improve cultural sensitivity
to improve/develop regionally-specific language communication skills
to give exposure to diseases not seen in this hemisphere
to provide the opportunity for personal growth
to facilitate the educational exchange of information
to help students hone their history, physical, etc. skills
to provide opportunities for students to be involved in all levels of research
to increase exposure of osteopathic medicine beyond the borders of the United States
to facilitate a global perspective of health, disease, and healthcare delivery systems
to provide opportunities for participants to participate in outreach
