Dissemination

Dissemination is the conclusive act of the research continuum; it is the goal of all research. If you do not communicate your research findings, your research has no applicable value.

Regardless of whether your project is a retrospective, prospective, or case-based study, the CORE Research Office suggests that every project produce three research outcomes:

  • A Research Paper,
  • A Research Poster, and
  • A Research Presentation.

For each of these research outcomes, the Research Protocol serves as the foundation for the eventual dissemination of your research findings (retrospective and prospective studies).

While it may not always be possible, the CRO recommends that you complete the Research Paper as the first of the three outcomes. It is easiest to pull from a completed manuscript as you create the research poster or prepare slides for a presentation of you research findings.

Recommendations and tips for completing each of the dissemination research outcomes are provided.

The CRO can offset approved travel expenses if you present your research at a national conference. To view our travel policy click here. To request reimbursement, please click here.
