As a part of the osteopathic medical education continuum, you must fulfill specific research requirements. 

You may have to complete a research project or scholarly work to fulfill a defined medical school curricular requirement. 

Once you progress to your residency years, your specialty college will state specific requirements that must be fulfilled in order to complete your residency training.
